Dear Dr. Mohammad Mirhosseini,

It is with great pleasure to inform you of your selection as recipient of the "Biruni" 2016 Graduate Student Research Award, established by the Iranian-American Physicists (IrAP) Network Group. The aim of this award is to promote and recognize outstanding research by a physics graduate student of Iranian heritage in an institution of higher education in the United States. The members of the "Biruni" award selection committee were greatly impressed by your research accomplishments and by the esteem in which you are held by your research adviser and collaborators. Congratulations!

This is the fifth time we are presenting the "Biruni" Graduate Student Research Award. We would like to thank you for your candidacy. We are proud of you and wish you continued success in your endeavors. You indeed represent a gift from Iranian society to the citizens of USA. We have no doubt that you will succeed as a great scientist. You can help us to build a better environment for peace and cordial friendship between the two nations.

Finally, we would like to keep track of the professional activities of the award recipients, so please keep in touch. The award carries with it a cash prize, which will be sent to you separately or at the Forum on International Physics (FIP) reception at APS March meeting.

Sincerely,
